Coach Meghan
Meghan started skating in 2011. Her favorite show roles include Captain Hook in Peter Pan (2014), the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (2016), and Gaston in Beauty and the Beast (2022). She has passed freestyle tests up to and including Intermediate Free skate and is a Moves in the Field Silver Medalist. She is a two-time World Figure and Fancy Skating Championship competitor and the 2020 Ladies Bronze Medalist.
Meghan graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2021 and began teaching special education at Saranac Middle School. She is in a bowling league, and also enjoys yoga, pickle ball, kayaking, and paddle boarding. She loves being Learn to Skate Co-Coordinator and sharing her love of skating with skaters of all ages.
Coach Kristy
Kristy has been skating for 17 years. Kristy grew up skating and competing in freestyle, moves in the field, and dance for the Skating Club of the Adirondacks. Kristy has been coaching Learn to Skate for several years and is now one of the co-coordinators for the Learn to Skate program.
When Kristy is not skating, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and gardening.
